At the heart of Navjeevan Hospital is a man whose name is deeply respected across Solan and Sirmour – Dr. S.R. Sharma, Senior Surgeon and Founder. With more than four decades of surgical experience and an unwavering commitment to accessible, ethical healthcare, Dr. Sharma has played a pivotal role in shaping healthcare delivery in the region.
A Lifelong Commitment to Healing
Dr. Sharma began his medical journey with an MBBS in 1979 and an MS in General Surgery in 1981, both from the esteemed Dayanand Medical College, Ludhiana. He went on to serve in the Government Health Services from 1981 to 2005, working across various government hospitals in Solan and Sirmour districts.
In 2005, driven by a vision to provide affordable surgical care closer to home, Dr. Sharma founded Navjeevan Nursing Home in Solan. Since then, he has continued to serve the people with dedication, transitioning the practice in 2022 to the expanded Navjeevan Hospital, where he remains the chief clinician and surgical lead.
